  • ABOUT THE PROCESS

    How do you want your family to be photographed? What expressions, characteristics, and emotions do you want to look back on and cherish one day? I want to help you remember what this season looked like, and more importantly, what it felt like. I use a unique combination of lifestyle and fine art approaches to create romantic and nostalgic photos that showcase the beauty in your family.

  • BOOKING PROCESS

    First, head to my contact page and submit the form. After receiving your inquiry, I’ll send a questionnaire to learn more about your family, what your children are interested in, and what your preferences are. Every family is unique, so this will help me customize your session to you! After we secure a date and discuss the details for your session, I’ll send a link to your invoice. Payment is due on or before your session date. Payment plans are available!

  • SESSION DAY

    During sessions, I aim to capture genuine expressions, emotions and storytelling, while carefully planning visual details, finding the best natural light, guiding your family and entertaining the little ones. Sometimes children need time and space to warm up; other times they like to run wild. I just go with the flow! There’s no set time limit to my sessions.

  • CHOOSE YOUR OWN IMAGES

    After your session, I’ll send you a link to the full gallery of proofs. Here, you get to choose the photos that you love the most. If you want more images than what’s included in your package, you can upgrade to the next package or just purchase additional individual images. Then, over the next 1-2 weeks, I’ll work on hand-editing all your favorite photos!

  • FINAL PHOTO DELIVERY

    Your final photos will be delivered as full-resolution digital files in a private online gallery. After downloading, you’ll receive a print release for professional print ordering at your convenience. Then you can share, print, and cherish your photos forever :)

  • Yes! I’m more than willing to work out a payment plan with you. Just contact me!

  • No, I shoot on-location in Knoxville. There are several parks and outdoor locations that I can suggest for your portrait session, depending on what you’re looking for. I can also come to your home! If you have a particular location in mind, we can discuss that as well. Travel fees may apply if outside of Knoxville.

    *I also have special locations available at particular times throughout the year. Inquire about what’s coming up!

  • The clothing you wear really can impact the feel of your photos. But that doesn’t mean you have to wear anything fancy! Seriously, you can wear a simple, solid T-shirt if that’s what you’re comfortable in. In my photography, color is what makes all the difference. Depending on the season and location of your session, I can suggest several different colors and shades to wear.

    In general, stay away from:

    • multiple bold/distracting patterns

    • clothing with words or large logos

    • bright neon colors

    • gray, black, stark white (if neutrals are your thing, cream or beige are best!)

    • clothing you have to adjust often or that’s uncomfortable

    • everyone wearing the same color

  • I will keep an eye on the weather forecast in the days leading up to our session. If we’re unable to shoot due to rain or lack of good lighting, we can reschedule for another date.

  • There’s not a fixed time limit for sessions; I simply shoot until I have what we need. That being said, most photography sessions last around 45 minutes, give or take. We may need 15 minutes more or less than that, depending on different circumstances.

    *Newborn sessions are longer, and usually last an hour or more.

  • On one hand, you may worry that your child will be too reserved or won’t participate. On the other hand, you may worry that your child has too much energy to stand still for a photo.

    While I totally understand these concerns, please don’t stress! I have a lot of experience with children of all ages — neurotypical and neurodivergent.

    Sometimes we just have to be patient and allow time for them to warm up. That is perfectly okay. And while it may seem like kids need to stay calm and still to get good photos of them, that is hardly ever the case!

    The best way to get great photos of your children is to simply let them be themselves. I like to keep child and family portrait sessions as relaxed and low pressure as possible. Patience and flexibility are key! And of course, snacks.

  • Yes! Additional images may be purchased à la carte.

  • The final gallery is typically delivered 2-3 weeks after the session.
